Last week we looked at Zechariah and Elizabeth, a couple disappointed by life because they couldn’t have kids, find out from God’s angel that God was going to bless them with a baby (John the Baptist). Today we continue our look at the story of Jesus through the Gospel According to Luke, the third book of the New Testament and we see a similar story. The angel Gabriel is making another birth announcement, but this time he’s talking to Mary.

In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a town in Galilee called Nazareth, to a virgin engaged to a man named Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. And the angel came to her and said, “Rejoice, favored woman! The Lord is with you.” But she was deeply troubled by this statement, wondering what kind of greeting this could be. Then…

Too often we misplace our trust…

Putting our trust in the right One leads to assurance. That assurance makes us unshakable!

Last week we launched our digital ministry and looked at the issue of KNOWING and CERTAINTY in the realm of Christian faith. Today we continue our look at the story of Jesus through the Gospel According to Luke, the third book of the New Testament. What’s cool about today is that we actually get to launch into the story (and who doesn’t love a good story?)…

In the days of King Herod of Judea, there was a priest of Abijah’s division named Zechariah. His wife was from the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth. Both were righteous in God’s sight, living without blame according to all the commands and requirements of the Lord. But they had no children because Elizabeth could not conceive, and both of them were well along in years.

There are many who use the expression “do-gooder” as an insult.

But instead of an insult, it’s a character trait that is supposed to be evident in the lives of God-followers.

Go be a do-gooder!

Let’s face it – as fruity as some of you are you’re still missing some of the qualities of “wisdom from above.”

So let’s strive to be wise (and fruity)!

Peace that surpasses all understanding.

Now who doesn’t want that?!?

Good morning, Church Plant Family! We’re changing up the title of our weekly update post. Ultimately we want our language to avoid being “churchy” – too many Christians speak Christianese and no one understands it unless you’ve been going to church forever and a day!

We believe that God hears our prayer and cares about humanity. Though we don’t always get the answer we want, we take our needs and requests to God and ask for His blessing and his intervention in our lives. *NOTE* If you want a prayer request to remain private just let us know and it will stay 100% private.
